Ava Carrington was founded by Swedish sisters Sofia and Helena Mattsson after their search for well designed high-quality handbags, that were also animal-friendly and eco-conscious revealed a void that they decided to fill themselves. With defiant spirits and love for creativity, fashion, our planet and everyone living on it, the Mattsson sisters set out to make bags that they could both enjoy and be proud of.

Our Scandinavian design team is driven by the desire to offer high quality vegan bags that represent strength and femininity for fashion forward women with a clear sense for personal identity and individual style. We believe in an ethical and socially conscious future in fashion and we believe in doing our part to make a difference and reducing our footprint on the world.

We only work with carefully selected suppliers and all our products are attentively handcrafted by skilled artisans.

All our products are 100% free of any animal by-product. We are willing to pay more to give more. We pride ourselves in using the newest most ethical and sustainable vegan leathers available. Our vegan leather has superior durability and is more environmentally friendly and lasts longer than more commonly used vegan materials such as PU and PVC. It is also ultra-lightweight, making each handbag an extraordinary 2-3lbs in weight.

The eco-friendly silky smooth linings inside all Ava Carrington bags are made of 100% recycled PET bottles and our custom made hardware is plated with 24k gold for a brilliant finish.
